Artwork Proofs & Approval

With every single CD or DVD replication job, and any job involving printed parts, we will always issue a digital proof to customers for the purposes of approval. Digital proofs, typically supplied via email in PDF (Portable Document Format), are perfect for assessing layout and spelling matters.

This aspect of our service is, of course, free and there to ensure with as much regularity as is possible that printed artwork will be produced to the hight standard possible, reducing room for error.

Wet proofs are physical examples of artwork printed on to paper or card that matches that intended for use in the production process. Wet proofs are intended for checking colour tone matching, but because wet proofs require that print templates be fully set up and their creation utlises the actual machines that will be used in the production process, they come at an extra cost.

Creation of wet proofs will also have implications for timescale because of the time it takes to produce the templates used, the time it takes for inked parts to dry, and the time it takes to deliver them; this usually amounts to about 3 days. That said, with larger jobs, it is worth considering asking for wet proofs so as to ensure the colours and finished quality meet your requirements.
