We offer free graphic design to all CD and DVD replication or duplication customers, regardless of quantity or packaging ordered.
Of course, that doesnt mean you can’t design and create your own artwork. Should you decide to create your own, you can expect full encouragement and support from us. And, once complete, we will thoroughly check your artwork to make sure it’s correct and offer advice where we think it falls short.
Why do we offer free graphic design?
For us this is a question with a very simple answer – it’s all about promoting quality. We think you should be asking other CD & DVD duplication companies why they don’t offer free graphic design. By taking care of the design-side, customers are free to focus more positively on their content.
Remember, on top of free design, we also offer free technical advice on matters related to CD & DVD content creation — all of our staff are from multimedia and design-related backgrounds. In all this, our goal is to make your goal of producing CD’s and DVD’s as easy and successful as possible.
Let’s get going, then, with free graphic design…
Step 1: The first thing we advise is that you have a good think about what style and look you wish to accomplish with your CD or DVD and it’s packaging. Logically this would entail giving consideration to your target audience — what would they expect in terms of the design, what would be appropriate, what might help make your CD or DVD more appealing in terms of how it looks and possibly help it sell? These are just some things worth considering. If you have a brand you want to promote, you might want to take that into account. Look around on the web for design ideas and, if you find something you like, feel free to send us a link or two.
Step 2: Based on what you decided in step 1, it’s time to start putting together the various elements we might need to complete your design. This means company logos, photos, graphics, and (crucially) any textual information you want to incorporate in the design. Send this to us along with your ideas about how the design might look — by all means send by email or upload to our server.
Step 3: Spend some time relaxing and thinking about your content. One of the great things about our free design service is that it allows you to put more time into the content which in most cases is what the customer will do best. In the background we’ll be working on your design. When it’s complete we will send you what we call a ‘first draft’. This first draft may be completely rejected by you, in which case we will go away and produce endless others, or can be tweaked and amended as requested by you.
Step 4: Once your artwork reaches its final stage through the process of making changes and tweaks as described in step 3, we will send you high resolution copies of your artwork for final approval, usually in PDF format. This is the most important stage in many ways — we always strongly advise that these final proofs are checked thoroughly and warn against complacency.. we will probably moan about that but it’s all for the common good! We also give you a copy to keep for future reference which, of course, you are welcome to take to another duplication company and use as you please.
